John M. Mwangi is a dedicated pharmaceutical regulatory policy expert and thought leader with over 15 years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs, policy, intelligence, pharmacovigilance, quality assurance, and commercial strategy. Based in Nairobi, Kenya and serving as Medical Products Regulatory and Health Policy expert for Emerging markets with special emphasis on Africa, Middle East and Turkey.

John’s mission is to advance patient-centered universal health coverage in Africa through regulatory harmonization, strengthened regulatory systems, and sustainable local & regional manufacturing.

As an adjunct faculty member, active industry advocate through trade associations, and Pharmacist John contributes to education, policy development to shape the future of medical products regulation and access in Africa. He has been an active participant and industry thought leader in the structuring of Africa Medicines Agency and its predecessor program program - African Medicines Regulatory Harmonization (AMRH).
